김외경은 선과 간격을 통해 시간과 리듬을 시각화하는 작업을 한다.
반복되는 수직선과 여백은 소리의 구조처럼 화면 위에 배치되며, 색은 감정을 설명하기보다 밀도와 호흡을 형성한다.
그녀의 작업은 보이는 이미지보다 보이지 않는 간격과 침묵에 집중하며, 회화가 하나의 악보처럼 읽히는 경험을 제안한다.
Oikyung Kim visualizes time and rhythm through lines and intervals. Repeating vertical lines and fields of emptiness are arranged across the surface like the structure of sound, while color forms density and breath rather than describing emotion. Her work focuses on invisible gaps and silence beyond the visible image, proposing an experience in which painting can be read like a musical score.
